Advertiser Staff

Honolulu businessman Jay Shidler is donating $25 million to the University of Hawai'i College of Business Administration, the largest single gift ever received through the UH Foundation, school officials said today.

Shidler, a 1968 UH graduate, is the founder of The Shidler Group, a commercial real estate company based in Honolulu.

University of Hawai'i regents are expected to meet Sept. 6 to consider accepting the gift and renaming the business college the Shidler College of Business, according to a UH Foundation spokesman.
