ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Kekauoha at Beerfest

Advertiser Staff

Multitalented Weldon Kekauoha takes the mike at Ryan's Grill tonight, 9 to midnight, to close out the restaurant's Beerfest 2006. You know Kekauoha for his sweet rendition of "Queen's Jubilee" on the radio and as Duke Kahanamoku's scrappy sidekick in Nathan Kurosawa's homegrown film "The Ride." Maybe he'll play songs from his in-the-works CD, slated to come out in December.

GET DEEPER INTO 'LOST'

Scoff at a magazine that's all about "Lost"? Go ahead. We did. Then one of our staffers, a true fan, opened the latest issue. Despite an overblown design, it's packed with information for those who follow the show's intricate plotting. Stars and creative team members sum up reaction to Season 3 and tease Season 3, while co-creator Damon Lindelof compares the show concept to an archaeological dig, with the Dharma Initiative as the first layer, and lets this go: "We will understand more about the whispers in the wind."

FINAL WORD

"All them haters would love for us to break up ... sorry haters! We're not breaking up. We've got a relationship that goes beyond music and film."
