Kenny Patton started 20 games over the past two seasons. He was second among defensive backs in tackles last season with 42. Yet, when spring came around he was switched to receiver. When fall camp opened, he found himself back at defensive back. His only career interception came while defending Dwayne Jarrett of USC on a fade pattern. He was named to the academic all-WAC team for the past two years.

How difficult was it for you to move from defensive back to receiver to defensive back within a year's time and how did you manage to cope?

"It wasn't really difficult. It was more fun than anything. We had a really good time just learning the offense. Coach Jones and all the receivers and everyone helped me out a lot. I was able to learn it pretty quick. I thought for the best interest of my senior season, I should probably move back to cornerback. So I decided to move back and it kind of worked out. It's working out. I'm working hard and the defense is looking pretty good."
