Oregon State offensive lineman from Kahuku
Jeremy Perry

Jeremy Perry, a 2004 Kahuku alum and Oregon State sophomore center, was the Pac-10 Conference Co-Freshman of the Year. He started all 11 games as a redshirt freshman last season.

You play in a conference that includes powerhouse USC, along with UCLA, Cal and Oregon. Describe your feelings playing against such highly visible teams nearly every week and give us your some of your best memories playing football in the Pac-10?

"Of course the bigger games are more intense with USC, or the Ducks with the Civil War. I just try to play hard for the whole game. Of course, every Pac-10 game is loud, but the game is that much more intense, including the crowd. You just play that much harder. It's faster than other games; the games usually seem long. It's fun. I just try to stay calm, because I usually get too excited, too amped before a game. Keep my cool and save energy. But once the game starts, it's on."
