'Mayhem' Miller loses mixed martial arts title bout

Frank Trigg defeated Jason "Mayhem" Miller to win the Icon Sport organization's middleweight world championship on Friday night at the Blaisdell Center Arena.Trigg won by technical knockout when he unleashed a series of kicks and punches to Miller's head. The referee stopped the bout 2 minutes, 53 seconds into the second round.
Trigg improved to 14-5; Miller dropped to 17-5 with his first loss in Hawaii.
In one of the semi-main events, Sidney Silva of Hawaii defeated Jay Jack of Maine by choke submission in the first round.
In the other semi-main event, Mark Oshiro defeated Tyson Nam by TKO in the first round to win the state flyweight championship.
