A teenage boy was taken to The Queen's Medical Center this evening in extremely critical condition after a boating accident off Waikiki, according to fire and rescue officials.

Initial reports were that the vessel's mast snapped and landed on the boy. At least one other patient is involved.

The catamaran is coming into Ala Wai Boat Harbor, either under its own power or with a tow.

Witnesses said the vessel involved is the Na Hoku II.
