Growing up as a child, going to the high school football games at Aloha Stadium was a weekly thing for my family.

I used to go with my grandparents to watch Saint Louis play and didn't really know what was happening on the field.

I remember sitting in the orange (section) right by the tunnels so that I could reach my hand out to get high-fives as the players walked in.

As I was shaking their hands, one of the coaches asked me what high school I wanted to go to, and I said, "Saint Louis."

He then asked if I wanted to help out the team by being a ballboy. I said "Yes," and from the next game on I got to go on the field, shag balls and watch the games.

I remember watching the games and noticing a lot of things that I didn't see from the stands.

I watched how they prepared themselves and how they played.

I remember watching players like George Ornellas, Timmy Chang and John Siofele and how they played with so much heart. I think that it has influenced me and helped me become the player I am today.

I had always dreamed of playing in the state championship game and never thought that it would come true.

Now I have a chance to bring back the state title to Saint Louis.
