North Shore surf expected at 6-10 feet
Advertiser Staff
Surf along O'ahu's northern shores will hold steady at 6 to 10 feet today, with occasional sets offering 12-foot wave faces, according to the National Weather Service.
The surf is expected to reach 4 to 7 feet along the western shore, 3 to 6 feet along the eastern shore, and 2 to 4 feet along the southern shore.
The current northwest swell is decaying, but a slight reinforcement was expected to have arrived overnight and last through today. North and west shore surf will subside a bit tomorrow.
Another moderate northwest swell is expected late Monday, or Monday night into Tuesday. A more substantial northwest swell could arrive Thursday if it does not pass by to the north of the state, forecasters said.
