Parking, bus service for today's sold-out UH game

Nationally ranked University of Hawai'i takes on Oregon State of the Pac-10 in a nationally televised game (ESPN) at sold-out Aloha Stadium today.

Kickoff is 7:05 p.m.

Here are things you might want to know about parking, traffic updates and bus services:

PARKING (at stadium):

$5

ALTERNATIVE PARKING (no tailgating):

-- Leeward Community College (free, with $2 charge for shuttle service);

-- Kamehameha Drive-In ($5, with free shuttle service);

-- Radford High School ($3, with no shuttle service).

All shuttles run from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and approximately one hour after the game ends.

SECURITY:

Only fanny packs, purses, backpacks and handbags will be allowed into stadium (subject to check).

TRAFFIC ADVISORY:

Sports Radio 1420 provides traffic advisories and updates before each UH football home game.

BUS SHUTTLES:

Roberts Hawaii

Offering round trip ³air conditioned² shuttle bus services to Aloha Stadium for $6 from three O'ahu areas.

-- Bus No. 3 was scheduled to pick up at the Hawai'i Kai Park & Ride at 4 p.m., at Bank of Hawai'i at Kahala Mall at 4:15, and proceed to the stadium.

-- Bus No. 2 was scheduled to pick up at the Kailua District Park, Kainalu Avenue at 4:15 p.m., at Windward Mall Shopping Center on Alaloa Street facing Sears at 4:30, and proceed to the stadium.

-- Bus No. 1 was scheduled to pick up at the Mililani Mauka Park & Ride at 4:30 p.m. and go directly to the stadium.

Reservations are required and service is first come, first served. Call Roberts School Bus at 832-4886 for reservations and additional information.

City bus service

More air-conditioned FootballExpress! buses have been added to the 17 pickup locations for the game.

Cost is $3 one-way and $6 roundtrip. Cash only and exact change are required. No passes or transfers will be accepted.

The first trip from each location leaves approximately three hours before kickoff. Return trips leave as soon as the bus is full, with the final trip leaving 30 minutes after the game ends.

Honolulu pickup locations are at:

Ala Moana -- Kona Street (4 p.m., 4:30, 5, 5:30).

Downtown -- Alapa'i Transit Center, express bus lot (4:10, 4:40, 5:10, 5:40).

Palolo -- Wai'alae/Palolo, fronting McDonalds (4:02, 5:02, 5:32).

University of Hawai'i -- Sinclair Circle (4:10, 4:50, 5:10, 5:30).

Kahala -- Wai'alae/Kilauea, across mall (4, 4:40, 5:10, 5:40).

Kaimuki -- Koko Head/Wai'alae, fronting Lili'uokalani Elementary (4, 5, 5:30).

Waikiki -- Monsarrat at Kapi'olani Bandstand (3:30, 3:45, 4, 4:15, 4:30, 4:50, 5:10, 5:30).

Hawai'i Kai -- Keahole Street, Hawai'i Kai Park & Ride (4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5, 5:15, 5:30).

Village Park -- Kupuohi Street, Royal Kunia Park & Ride (4:20, 5:40).

Kapolei -- Kamokila Boulevard at Kahuhihewa State Building (4, 5:40).

Mililani Mauka -- Ukuwai Street at Mililani Park & Ride (4, 5, 5:40).

Ewa Beach -- Fort Weaver/Kaimalie before Ewa Beach Shopping Center (4, 5:20).

Kalaniana'ole/Kailua -- Across Castle Medical Center (4, 5:20).

Kailua: Keolu/Hele -- Across Enchanted Lake Shopping Center (4:05, 5:25).

Kailua/Hahani -- Kailua Shopping Center (4:10, 5:30).

Kane'ohe Bay/Mokapu -- Fronting Aikahi Shopping Center (4, 5:20).

Kane'ohe Bay/Makalani -- Across Windward City Shopping Center (4:10, 5:30).
