'America's Most Wanted' honors fallen HPD officer

Advertiser Staff

The Fox network television show "America's Most Wanted" will pay tribute briefly tonight to Steve Favela, who died Sunday from injuries he received Nov. 21 when his police motorcycle crashed while escorting President Bush's motorcade on Hickam Air Force Base.

Favela, a Honolulu Police officer for the past eight years, leaves behind a wife and four children — three sons and a daughter — who range in age from 3 months to 7 years. Two other motorcycle officers who also crashed were treated at The Queen's Medical Center and released following the accident.

"America's Most Wanted" airs on KHON Channel 2 in Honolulu at 8 p.m. Saturday nights.
