More sun, less wind and rain this week

Advertiser Staff

Yesterday's blustery weather should be replaced by plenty of sunshine for the new week, according to the National Weather Service.

A high pressure system building over the state will mean little rainfall and weakened trade winds by the middle of the week, forecasters said.

Here's what to look for over the next several days:

Today, partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 75 to 83. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 74. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tomorrow, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs around 82. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tomorrow night, partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the evening. Lows 63 to 70. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
