Surf on North Shore ranging from 6 to 10 feet

Advertiser Staff

The current northwest swell is decaying, but a slight reinforcement that arrived last night will stay through Saturday, the National Weather Service said.

Another moderate northwest swell is expected late today or tonight and into tomorrow. A more substantial northwest swell could arrive Thursday.

Today's forecast:

Surf will remain at 6 to 10 feet and occasionally 12 feet this afternoon through Saturday on northern shores; west-facing shores will see surf 4 to 7 feet this afternoon through Saturday, east shores will see surf 3 to 6 feet and south shores will see surf 2 to 4 through this afternoon before it lowers to 1 to 3 feet by the weekend.
