University Avenue loop on H-1 to close tonight

The H-1 Freeway's east-bound loop on-ramp from University Avenue will be closed from 8 p.m. on Monday through 2 a.m. on Tuesday for guardrail installation.

East-bound motorists are advised to use the next H-1 Freeway east-bound on-ramp, on South King Street, near Old Wai'alae Road.

Other road projects around O'ahu:

H-1 Freeway lane closed near Middle Street tunnel

Right and shoulder lanes will be closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions near the Middle Street tunnel through Friday at the following hours, for guardrail and shoulder improvements:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

    Likelike Highway improvements continue

    Lanes may be closed along Likelike Highway between Valley View Drive and the Wilson Tunnels through Friday for guardrail installation, shoulder paving and roadway striping.

  • Honolulu-bound single-lane closures, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Kane'ohe-bound single-lane closures, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Farrington work in Nanakuli continues

    West-bound right lanes will be closed on Farrington Highway between Hakimo Road and Ka'ukama Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday.

    The right lane will be closed for adjustments to an existing concrete channel wall and the installation of a chain-link fence.

    Farrington project in Waipahu continues

    Lanes will be closed on Farrington Highway in Waipahu through Friday at these locations and times:

    East-bound, 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. daily

  • From Paiwa Street to the H-1 Freeway for road resurfacing.

    West-bound, 7:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., daily

  • From Waipahu High School to Paiwa Street for road resurfacing.

  • From Paiwa Street to Kahuali'i Street for road resurfacing and concrete sidewalk construction.

    Kunia Road lanes to close near Wheeler

    Lanes will close in both directions on Kunia Road between Kunia Plantation Road and Lyman Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday for roadside slope maintenance and erosion control work.

    Kamehameha work ongoing in Kane'ohe

    Lanes will close in both directions on Kamehameha Highway between Pali Highway and Kahiko Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday for guardrail installation and lane striping.

    During this time, the on-ramp loop to the H-3 Freeway (west) from the Kane'ohe-bound lanes of Kamehameha Highway at the Halekou Interchange may be closed for relocation of street lighting conduits.

    As an alternate route, motorists may use the H-3 Freeway (west) on-ramp from the Kailua-bound lanes of Kamehameha Highway at the Halekou Interchange.

    Pu'uloa Road project still under way

    Selected lanes will be closed on Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday:

  • Shoulder lanes on both sides will be closed for utility work.

  • A single lane will be closed in the southbound direction for electrical work.

    Kamehameha work near Crouching Lion

    Lanes will close on Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for pavement marking, sign installation and guardrail work. One lane in either direction will be closed and traffic will contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

    'Aiea Access Road resurfacing continues

    Shoulder lanes will close in both directions on 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday for road signs, guardrail and bike rail installation.

    More work on Halawa Heights Road

    Lanes will close on Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place in the vicinity of Camp Smith from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday for striping, lane marking and sign installation.

    Kamehameha Highway lanes closed near Pearl Harbor

    The right lane will close on Kamehameha Highway (out-bound) between Radford Drive and Halawa Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday for bikeway construction.
