Horizon Lines extends agreements with AP Moller

Horizon Lines Inc., the No. 2 cargo carrier to Hawai'i, said it extended several agreements with AP Moller Maersk Group that provide of operational and financial benefits.

The existing agreement was set to expire at the end of next year and includes cargo space charters, terminal services, equipment sharing and sales agency service agreements.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Horizon Lines carriers 36 percent of U.S. container shipments between the Mainland and Alaska, Hawai'i, Puerto Rico and Guam.
