O'ahu median home price falls 4.8% to $610,000

The median price for a single-family home on O'ahu fell to $610,000 in November, a 4.8 percent decline from the same month a year earlier, the Honolulu Board of Realtors reported today.The volume of sales fell to 366 for the month, a 19.1 percent decline from November 2005, the Board said.
The median price for a condominium on Oahu, meanwhile, rose to $310,000 in November, a 6.9 percent increase over the same month a year earlier. The number of condo units sold fell to 421, a 32.5 percent decline from November 2005.
On a year-to-date basis, sales of single family homes are down 14.1 percent from the first 11 months of 2005. Condo sales were down 20.5 percent during the same period.
