HECO attempting to restore electricity in Waimanalo

Advertiser Staff

A Hawaiian Electric Co. crew is working to restore power to about 850 customers in Waimanalo.

Jose Dizon, a HECO spokesman, said the outage was reported about 10:22 after a truck knocked down a utility pole near the Waimanalo Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Meanwhile, about 1,100 HECO customers in the Gentry Waipi'o subdivision were without power from about 5:10 to 6:30 this morning after a branch came in contact with a charged power line, Dizon said.
