Bank of America offers free trades to select customers

Advertiser Staff

Bank of America said it accelerated its introduction of its free online trading service for investors, including those in Hawai'i, who have a balance of $25,000 or more in its deposit accounts.

The bank, through its Banc of America Investment Services Inc., began offering the no-cost equity trading in the U.S. Northeast in October and last month spread it to mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states. Today it spread it to customers in its Midwest and Southwest region, which includes Hawai'i. The rollout for this region had been scheduled for early next year.

The bank said customers with at least $25,000 in deposit accounts may be eligible for as many as 30 commission-free online equity trades each month.
