Slow traffic flow on Kamehameha Highway in Kahalu'u

Advertiser Staff

Traffic continues to be slow this morning on Kamehameha Highway in Kahalu'u due to a one-vehicle traffic accident that occurred at about 4:30 a.m.

Police are alternating traffic on the highway near the Hygienic Store.

Traffic heading in from Leeward and Central O'ahu is moving well at this time, the usual backup at the H-1/H-2 merge is mostly cleared out. A larger-than-normal backup is occurring on the airport viaduct, where traffic is stacking up past the inter-island terminal.

Traffic flow is smooth on the drive in from the Hawa'ii Kai side, with a backup starting just past the Koko Head Avenue overpass.
