Police Beat: Girl arrested in tie to auto theft incident

A 14-year-old girl was arrested yesterday on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

Police said the girl was driving a Nissan automobile about 11:45 p.m. Saturday that was pulled over for speeding.

The officer who made the traffic stop then discovered a 61-year-old woman had reported the car stolen and the girl behind the wheel was then arrested on suspicion of driving the stolen car.

Woman arrested in car-ramming incident

Police arrested a 38-year-old woman yesterday morning after she allegedly used her car Monday evening to ram a car owned by a 42-year-old woman.

The older woman told police the younger woman, who she said she did not know, came up to her on foot and began yelling and swearing at her.

The woman told police she got into her car to leave and that the younger woman jumped into her own car and reversed it into her car several times.

Police said the woman who reported the incident was not injured although her car was damaged around the grill area.

They said the younger woman took off in her car before police arrived but was located several blocks away about 6 p.m. and arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.

Teen arrested in property damage incident

A 17-year-old boy was arrested yesterday as a suspect in a criminal property damage complaint filed on behalf of a Manoa couple, both 52.

Police said a witness reported seeing the boy deliberately damaging the couple's car Nov. 11 and alerted authorities. The repairs to the car cost more than $1,500, police said.

A suspect was identified later and arrested yesterday on suspicion of second-degree property damage.

Man charged in sexual assault case involving girl, 14

A 19-year-old Wahiawa man with no local address has been charged with four counts of third-degree sexual assault and one count of kidnapping in response to a complaint filed on behalf of a 14-year-old girl.

The assaults were alleged to have taken place during the period of June 6, 2005, and July 22, 2006. Police did not release information regarding what relationship, if any, there was between the man and the girl. The suspect was being held in the police cellblock this morning on $175,000 bail.

Man arrested in reported sexual assault of girl, 13

Police arrested a 47-year-old Waiawa man yesterday after a 13-year-old girl reported being sexually assaulted.

Police said the girl reported the alleged incident to school officials, who then contacted police.

The girl told investigators she was assaulted about 5 p.m. Saturday. The girl was taken to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center and later identified a suspect in her case in a photographic line up. Police located the man yesterday and arrested him at his home on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.

Man arrested in tie to sexual assault complaint involving girl, 14

Police arrested a 38-year-old Mililani man yesterday in connection with a sexual assault complaint filed on behalf of a 14-year-old girl.

The girl reported being assaulted by a family member between February 2004 and October 2006, police said. Police did not release further information about the relationship is between the suspect and the girl. Police arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.
