University of Hawai'i volleyball players Kanoe Kamana'o, Jamie Houston, Sarah Mason and Juliana Sanders earned all-West Region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association Wednesday.

It was the first time Hawai'i placed four volleyball players on an all-region team.

Kamana'o, a senior setter, received her fourth all-region honor and is the only player this year's list who is a four-time all-region performer. She is ranked 10th in the country with 13.49 assists per game, while adding 0.97 blocks and 2.43 digs per game. Kamana'o also is the three-time Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Houston, a sophomore outside hitter, ranks sixth in the nation with a 5.46 kills per game average. Houston also is averaging 2.55 digs and 0.71 blocks per game.

Mason, a senior outside hitter, ranks 17th in the nation with 0.59 aces per game, while averaging 4.04 kills, 3.02 digs and 0.75 blocks per game.

Sanders, a junior middle blocker, leads UH with a .365 hitting percentage with 2.32 kills and 1.43 blocks per game.

It was the first all-region honor for Houston, Mason and Sanders.

The No. 11 Rainbow Wahine face No. 6 Southern California Friday in the NCAA Honolulu Regional, at the Stan Sheriff Center.
