The Department of Defense today identified the second Hawai'i-based Marine who died Sunday when a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter crashed in Al Anbar province, Iraq as Cpl. Joshua C. Sticklen, 24, of Virginia Beach, Va.

Previously identified by family was Maj. Joseph Trane McCloud, 39, of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.

Both Marines were passengers in the helicopter. They were assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kane'ohe Bay, Hawai'i.

On Tuesday, Pentagon officials released the names of two other service members killed in the accident: Air Force Capt. Kermit O. Evans, 31, of Hollandale, Miss.; and Army Spc. Dustin M. Adkins, 22, of Finger, Tenn.

The Sea Knight, from the San Diego-based 3rd Marine Air Wing, made an emergency landing on Lake Qadisiyah. Losing power, the helicopter reportedly touched down on the lake as a precautionary measure and the crew chiefs and passengers exited out the back.

The pilots reportedly stayed on board and had enough power to "surf-glide" across the water and up a boat ramp onto shore. Four of the evacuated personnel drowned.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, according to a Pentagon news release.
