Pacific Land and Coffee buys roasting-packing company

Advertiser Staff

Pacific Land and Coffee Corp., a seller of private-label coffee and broker, said it acquired Coscina Brothers Coffee, a company that roasts and packages coffee from Dole Food Co.'s Waialua fields.

In a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing Honolulu-based Pacific Land said its Chief Financial Officer Alfred Coscina contributed his ownership interest in Coscina Brothers to the company.

The coffee roaster had been Pacific Land's primary supplier prior to the acquisition and had sales of about $360,000 last year.

The filing last month said the company is also seeking $300,000 of funding so it can expand operations so that it can market specialty coffee.
