High surf warning in effect until 4 p.m.

With surf expected to hit 28 feet this morning before declining to 18 to 24 feet by this afternoon, the National Weather Surf has issued a high surf warning for northern shores and a high surf advisory for west shores, where surf will be 14 to 18 feet this morning and 10 to 15 feet by this afternoon.

East shores will see surf 2 to 4 feet and south shores will see surf 1 to 3 feet.

Through Tuesday, a series of moderate to large northwest swells will move through. Pulses of large swells are expected tomorrow and Saturday night.

This morning's high surf is expected to peak on the North Shore around 6 a.m.
