Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard workers set pledge record

Nearly 5,000 Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) civilian and military employees pledged a record $691,834 to charity during the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) that ended Oct. 31.The pledges were announced yesterday in a news released distributed by the shipyard.
The amount donated is the most ever contributed in the past 15 years at the shipyard and adds to the over $3 million donated by PHNSY in the past six years, the statement said.
CFC Hawaii-Pacific area regional headquarters will recognize the Shipyard at an awards ceremony Dec. 14 at the Hale Koa Hotel.
Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is the largest industrial employer in the state.
