TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"My Name is Earl," 7 and 7:30 p.m., NBC. Catalina has been deported, and it's Earl's fault. He rushes to the rescue — or would if not for his fear of flying. But nothing will stop his brother Randy, who loves Catalina. Soon, Earl is in the middle of a kidnapping scheme with John Leguizamo as the primary villain. Meanwhile, Joy takes pills to cure her anger problems.

"Men in Trees," 9:01 p.m., ABC. While other ABC shows retreat into reruns, this one wraps up a new two-parter, revolving around Thanksgiving vacation. That has Marin (visiting New York) separated from Jack, who has a visitor in Alaska. Meanwhile, Annie is angry at Patrick for ignoring her during dinner.

OF NOTE

"Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," 7 p.m., ABC Family. This 1970 cartoon, narrated by Fred Astaire, goes back to the days when Kris Kringle (Mickey Rooney) was a lad who brightened up Sombertown by making toys.

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's a rerun of the opening episode. America Ferrera plays a smart young woman who doesn't fit the surface world of a fashion magazine.

"Recipe For a Perfect Christmas" (2005), 7 p.m., Lifetime. Carly Pope plays a young writer who has her first break as a restaurant critic. Then her mom (Christine Baranski) arrives and creates chaos. The result is an attractive movie, despite some unlikely plot twists.

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. Cristina tells Burke that she can help him do surgery without revealing his hand tremor. George wants Callie to move out. Izzie stands outside the hospital, frozen with indecision.
