Stall greets east-bound commuters on H-1

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Friday commuters coming into town are being greeted on their east-bound drive by a stalled vehicle that is backing up traffic at the H-1/H-2 merge back past the Waikele Shopping Center. Traffic is heavy through 'Aiea and Pearl City, but is relatively thin through the Middle Street merge.

There doesn't appear to be any problems on other major roadways into town.

A downed power pole at 2:26 a.m. is still blocking the road way for west-bound traffic on California Avenue between U'uku Street and Iliwai Drive.

Traffic in the area of Leilehua High is being diverted to U'uku.

HECO estimates the roadway will be blocked until about 8 a.m.
