Marines bringing in 30 tons of snow for party

Those dreams of a white Christmas — or at least a few days of a white December — will become reality today for family and friends of the Kane'ohe Marine Corp Base.The 3rd Marine Regiment will be hosting a Christmas Family Party from 1 to 5 p.m., and they're bringing in 30 tons of snow that was donated by Outrigger Hotels & Resorts.
The event is in part to afford family members and friends of Marines and sailors currently deployed to get together with others who are preparing to deploy.
The party will include a BBQ, Christmas tree decorating, music, various games, the arrival of Santa Claus via Federal Fire Department fire truck.
