Arrivals by air up 4% in first week of December

Airline passenger counts on flights to Hawai'i rose about 4 percent in the first six days of December, according to figures released by the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.The arrivals numbers are considered a rough proxy for the number of visitors arriving here. There were 121,636 arrivals in the six-day period compared to 116,962 a year earlier.
