High surf advisories issued again

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory has been issued for all north- and west-facing shores.

Surf along north-facing shores was expected to diminish to 10 to 14 feet by this morning, then rise to heights of 15 to 20 feet by late this afternoon.

Surf along west-facing shores was expected to decrease to 6 to 10 feet by this morning, then rise to 8 to 12 feet late this afternoon.

Surf along east facing shores should reach 5 to 7 feet today while south-facing shores should see surf of 1 to 3 feet.

A series of large northwest swells will continue to arrive here at least through Thursday with the highest surf expected to occur Sunday, and again on Thursday, forecasters at the National Weather Service said.
