Bill Gates and Bono dined at Aaron's while in town

What are the chances for Time Magazine's 2005 Persons of the Year Bill Gates and U2 frontman Bono dining in the same restaurant on the same night?

It happened Friday at Aaron's Atop the Ala Moana, where a party of seven, led by Bono and including his manager Derek Haderman (who also is frontman for Crucible, a hard rock group), showed up for dinner. "You know what's good — just bring it out and keep it coming," Bono said to Haderman.

Then Microsoft billionaire Gates walked in — and noticed the spread of grinds. "I haven't seen this much food since the last time I had dinner at the White House with Bill Clinton," said Gates.

Upon leaving, Bono and Gates signed the labels of their bottles of 1990 Haute Brion and Haderman presented them, along with a Crucible CD, to Aaron's maître d' Skip Lambert staff.
