Woman allegedly attacks officer

A 35-year-old Kane`ohe woman was arrested last night after she allegedly attacked a police officer.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of harassment and one count of assaulting a law enforcement officer after she allegedly punched and scratched a Kane`ohe patrolman.

The officer responded to a call of a domestic argument at 10:18 p.m. last night at 46-267 Kahuipa St. The woman allegedly got angry and attacked the officer, police said.

The officer subdued the woman and arrested her.

The officer suffered scratches to his head and neck but did not need medical treatment, police said.

Man accused of rape

A 39-year-old man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly raped and kidnapped his girlfriend.

A 20-year-old woman told police yesterday that her boyfriend "held her against her will" and raped her, police said. Police arrested her 39-year-old boyfriend at 10 a.m. yesterday and he remains in custody while police investigate.

The 39-year-old was booked on suspicion of kidnapping and first-degree sexual assault.

Machete attack reported

A 27-year-old man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and threatened her and her new boyfriend with a machete, police said.

At 3:50 p.m. yesterday, the man forced his way into the home of his 26-year-old ex-girlfriend, who was inside with her 19-year-old boyfriend.

After allegedly smashing the windshield of the 19-year-old's car, the man brandished a machete and threatened the pair.

Police officers responded, calmed the man down, and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening, abuse of a household member, third-degree criminal property damage and first-degree burglary.

Forged checks turned in to police

A 30-year-old woman was arrested in Mililani after she allegedly tried to buy DVDs with forged cashier's checks.

At 6:10 p.m. yesterday, the woman walked up to the cashier with a "large amount" of DVDs police said.

The woman handed the cashier two Bank of America cashier's checks each totaling $500. The cashier became suspicious and called the bank. After learning the checks were forged, the cashier called police.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree forgery.
