Woman arrested after Halawa crash

A 29-year-old Makakilo woman was arrested today after crashing a stolen Nissan pickup truck into a retaining wall of a Halawa home at 99-957 Lalawai Drive.

No injuries were reported.

The homeowner reported the incident to police at 6:15 a.m. Police said the truck had fraudulent license plates.

Angela C. Higa, wanted on four midemeanor warrants totaling $600, was booked on suspicion of auto theft and driving without a license.

Man, 74, robbed at gunpoint

A 74-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint today by two men who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery at a business office in the 1300 block of Kapi'olani Boulevard was reported to police at 11:40 a.m. The victim was not injured.

Two charged with 'ice' trafficking

Two people were charged today in a federal indictment with trafficking crystal methamphetamine.

Rudy Alcosiba Generalao is accused of receiving two pounds of crystal meth from co-conspirator Rhonda Kamalii, also known as Rhonda Baltazar, for the purpose of selling it for $80,000 to a buyer on July 13 in the parking lot of an Iwilei-area company. Generalao is also charged with being in possession of a .25-caliber Raven Arms pistol while trafficking drugs.

According to the indictment, Kamalii allegedly transported four pounds of crystal meth to Generalao on July 13 for distribution.

2 arrested in drug seizure at elderly complex

The Kaua'i Police Department's Narcotics Enforcement Unit seized 62.7 grams of methamphetamine, 25.9 grams of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash last week in a search-warrant raid on an elderly housing complex in 'Ele'ele.

A man, 58, and woman, 50, were arrested for unlawful methamphetamine trafficking, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug. A county spokesperson could not say Monday whether the pair had been charged.
