Stolen truck crash leads to ID theft charges

Advertiser Staff

A 29-year-old Makakilo woman who crashed a stolen Nissan pickup truck into a retaining wall of a Lalawai Drive home in Halawa early Monday morning was charged today with multiple felony offenses including stolen identification cards.

Angela C. Higa was being held in lieu of $40,000 aggregate bail on charges of auto theft, driving without a license and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

In a warrant search of the stolen truck, police recovered identification cards belonging to four different people and stolen personal checks.

Police also recovered stolen identification cards of recent visitors that will likely result in further felony charges.

She was also wanted on outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
