Advertiser Staff
University of Hawai'i quarterback Colt Brennan was named to the Associated Press All-America football third team today."That's cool. That's awesome," Brennan said. "Considering the year it was in college football, and the big-name guys out there, for me to be recognized up there as an All-American, even third team, that's still a great, great compliment."
Brennan, a junior from Irvine, Calif., is one shy of the NCAA single-season mark of 54 touchdown passes. He leads the nation in five statistical categories, including total offense (410.8), passing efficiency (182.8), points responsible for (26.8), completion percentage (72.14%), and total passing yards (4,990).
Hawai'i's only AP All-America first team pick was defensive lineman Al Noga in 1986.
Hawai'i (10-3) faces Arizona State on Dec. 24 in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.
ASU tight end Zach Miller was named to the AP second team.
