Tight parking at Blaisdell during weekend events

Advertiser Staff

With big crowds expected for tomorrow's Billy Joel concert and a performance of "The Nutcracker" at the Blaisdell Center, the Honolulu Department of Enterprise Services has issued a traffic and parking advisory for tomorrow night for that area.

People are advised to plan ahead, since traffic is expected to be heavy and parking may be limited.

Blaisdell's King and Kapiolani gates will be open and valet parking is off Ward Avenue. No left turns will be allowed into any Blaisdell parking entrance.

The Department of Enterprise Services has also issued a traffic advisory for the area near the Blaisdell Center for Saturday night.

A large number of people are expected to attend the multiple events scheduled at the Blaisdell, resulting in increased traffic on the streets near the center, department officials said.
