Advertiser Staff
A high-surf advisory remains in effect today for east-facing shores, where surf of 8 to 10 feet is expected, according to the National Weather Service.
Elsewhere today, the surf is expected to reach 3 to 6 feet along the North Shore, 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores and 1 to 3 feet along south-facing shores.
Surf along the north-facing shores is expected to remain well below advisory levels into the middle of the new week.
Strong trade winds will continue to generate very large and rough surf along east-facing shores through this weekend. An unseasonable south swell is due in tomorrow and might linger through Wednesday.
Surf heights are expected to peak near the high-surf advisory threshold along south-facing shores early next week.
