Your new mission: taking in 1, 2 or 3 Sunsets on the Beach

 •  Marathon recovery: take it slow

Advertiser Staff

Waikiki is the setting for a series of Sunset on the Beach events that include food booths, entertainment and movies on that 30-foot screen.

Tonight's film is the action thriller "Mission: Impossible III," starring Tom Cruise. Tomorrow's is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," starring Jim Carrey as the green thief. The Makaha Sons will perform at 5 p.m. tomorrow, too.

There's also a Tuesday Sunset on the Beach festival, with the film "Invincible," a football drama that's only fitting, considering the Sunset sponsor is the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl (along with Tesoro).

Admission to the festivals, at Queen's Surf Beach, is free. Food booths open at 3 p.m., entertainment begins at 4 p.m., the films hit the screen at about 6 p.m., after the sun goes down. 923-1094.
