HFD hosting promotions ceremony today

A promotions ceremony will be held today to recognize two new assistant fire chiefs and one new battalion chief.
The 8:30 a.m. ceremony will be held at the Honolulu Fire Department's headquarters auditorium.
The honorees at the ceremony are:
Assistant Fire Chief Eric L. Adams Jr., who has been assigned to Planning and Development and is responsible for overseeing the department's accreditation and certifications, strategic planning, grants, records management and developing/revising programs based on continuous organizational analysis.
Adams has been with the HFD for 30 years, serving six years as a battalion chief, two in the Fire Communications Center and the past four in Fire Operations in Leeward Oahu.
Assistant Fire Chief Rolland J. Harvest, who has been assigned to Fire Operations and is responsible for overseeing the HFD's daily field and emergency operations. Harvest has been with the Department for 24 years, the past four as a battalion chief in Fire Operations in Leeward Oahu.
Battalion Fire Chief Jerry K. Spencer, who has been assigned to the HFD's Occupational Safety and Health Office and is responsible for overseeing safety and health issues. Spencer has served 31 years with the HFD, the past 11 as a fire captain in the field and in the Administrative Services Bureau. He has also served as a relief Public Information Officer.
