City financials now online

Honolulu has posted the latest comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30.City Budget and Fiscal Services Director Mary Pat Waterhouse said the report gave "an unqualified or clean opinion" on the city's financial statements.
"The financial statements indicate a strong financial performance and improved fiscal stability," Waterhouse said.
The independent accounting firm of Nishihama & Kishida, CPAs, Inc. did the report under the direction of city auditor Leslie Tanaka.
The 226-page document can be downloaded from the city Web site at http://www.honolulu.gov/budget/cafr.htm.
