High surf advisory until 6 p.m. today

South- and east-facing shores remain under a high surf advisory until 6 p.m. today, the National Weather Service said.

Eastern shores will see surf 6 to 9 feet today, later lowering to 5 to 7 feet.

South shores will see surf 6 to 10 feet and higher; Nothern shores can expect surf 3 yto 6 feet early, but rising to 7 to 10 feet later in the day; and west shores will get surf 3 to 6 feet with some higher sets.
