Honolulu police are investigating the death Tuesday of a 1-year-old 'Ewa Beach boy as a homicide.

An autopsy today determined the cause as "assaultive head trauma" and the manner as homicide. The boy died at The Queen's Medical Center.

Police said the child was taken from his home Monday to the hospital with critical head injuries.

The death is the second homicide involving an infant in as many days.
