Enjoy the south swell while it lasts

Advertiser Staff

There are no high surf advisories today, but there will be plenty of good sets around the island for surfers to enjoy.

Southern shores will see surf 5 to 7 feet early before it drops to 3 to 5 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along northern shores will be 10 to 14 feet, west shores will see surf 5 to 8 feet and east-facing shores will see surf 5 to 7 feet that will subside to the 2- to 4-foot range.

The surf outlook through Christmas Day calls for the current south swell to slowly lower through tomorrow and northwest swells to boost surf above advisory levels alonng north and west shores starting tomorrow through Monday.
