Authorities: no skydiver down near Dillingham Airfield

Emergency rescue personnel responded to reports of a downed skydiver about noon today but concluded that no one was in trouble after finding only a cut-away parachute in waters off Dillingham Airfield.The parachute was found about 300 yards off shore from the polo grounds at Mokule'ia, a fire department spokesman said.
Rescue crews contacted area skydiving firms, who told them that none of their people were in trouble.
