Columbia senior forward Becky Hogue is returning home to play in the Bank of Hawai'i Invitational, being hosted by the University of Hawai'i, Dec. 29 and 30.

Hogue, a 2003 Punahou graduate, averages 4.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. She was an Advertiser All-State first-team selection in 2002 and a second-team member in 2003.

The tournament features Columbia, Hawai'i and San Francisco.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Colorado School of Mines sophomore guard Kyle Pape ('Iolani '05) was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference East Division Player of the Week after leading the Orediggers to two wins.

In Friday's 70-60 win over New Mexico Highlands, Pape scored a career-high 36 points on 13-of-24 shooting, including 7 of 13 from 3-point range.

Pape recorded 15 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 79-50 win over Western New Mexico on Saturday.

FOOTBALL

  • Oregon State offensive lineman Jeremy Perry (Kahuku '04) and Oregon offensive lineman Max Unger (Hawai'i Prep '04) were named to the CollegeFootballNews.com Sophomore All-America first team.

    CFN ranks Perry, Unger and Oregon center Enoka Lucas (Kamehameha '02) as three of the top five offensive linemen in the Pac-10.

  • Utah senior offensive lineman Tavo Tupola (Kahuku '99) was named to the CollegeFootballNews.com all-Mountain West Conference team.

  • Arizona State senior defensive back Chris Price (Hawa'i Prep) was named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Academic team.

    Price earned a 3.57 GPA in psychology.

    ASU junior offensive lineman Brandon Rodd ('Aiea '03) was a second-team member. He earned a 3.20 GPA in business.

    WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

  • North Idaho College freshman outside hitter/middle hitter Amanda Misa (Waipahu) was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I all-tournament team.
