Raytheon to use Pearl Harbor for torpedo work

Raytheon Co. said its Pearl Harbor torpedo test and maintenance facility will be among the sites where it perform work on a $12.5 million contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command.

The contract calls for technical engineering, repair and maintenance services in support of the MK48 Advanced Capability heavyweight torpedo used in fleet training, readiness and submarine-launched torpedo exercises. Other locations where the work will be performed include Yorktown, Virginia and Poulsbo, Washington. Raytheon said in a news release.
