Motorcycle accident victim dies

A 22-year-old Honolulu man who was critically injured last night in a motorcycle accident on the H-1 Freeway died today.The crash happened about 10 p.m. last night, when the man was driving his 1999 red R-1 motorcycle west-bound near the Middle Street off-ramp to the airport viaduct.
Police said the man was trying to turn when he struck the curb and a guardrail and was thrown onto the road.
He was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in extremely critical condition, and died today.
Police said he was wearing a helmet.
Speed may have been a factor in the case, police said.
