The state offers drop-off sites on all islands to turn your Christmas tree into mulch or compost. On O'ahu the city offers several options to home and condo owners. Trees should be free of ornaments and tinsel; flocked trees are not accepted. Find the nearest drop-off site on the list to the right.

WHERE GREEN WASTE SERVICE IS AVAILABLE:

  • Put trees out curbside on your regular green-waste pickup days.
  • For trees 6 feet and larger, cut them into 3-foot lengths (not necessary if taking tree to a drop-off site).

    On O'ahu:
If you can't remember your green-waste day, call the nearest collection yard.
