Man killed in motorcycle accident identified

Advertiser Staff

The 22-year-old male who died Sunday following a motorcycle accident Saturday night was identified this morning by the City Medical Examiner's office as Timothy Yomes of Honolulu.

An autopsy to determine cause of death will be performed tomorrow.

Yomes was critically injured when the 1999 red R-1 motorcycle he was driving struck the curb and a guard rail on the H-1 west-bound lane near the Middle Street offramp.

He was wearing a helmet but was thrown from the bike, police said.

Yomes died at The Queen's Medical Center.

Police said speed may have been a factor.
