High surf advisory in effect until 6 p.m.

A high surf advisory remains in effect for northern shores until 6 tonight, the National Weather Service said.Surf along north-facing shores will be 12 to 20 feet early and drop to 10 to 15 feet.
Western shores will see surf 7 to 10 feet early and 4 to 8 feet later in the day.
Surf along southern shores will be 2 to 3 feet and east-facing shores will see surf 2 to 4 feet.
A new northwest swell is expected to arrive early Thursday with surf maxing out near the 25-foot warning level for the north shores especially on Kaua'i and O'ahu.
