Secure Data Group expands to Hawai'i

News Release

IRVINE, Calif.-- Secure Data Group (SDG), a division of Bell Microproducts (NASDAQ:BELM), today announced it has expanded operations to Hawai'i to serve the Islands' growing IT needs. SDG, an information technology services company providing comprehensive enterprise solutions for data management and recovery, business process management, compliance services and information security, has also moved to new headquarters in Irvine to better serve the company's growing client base.

SDG's expansion into Hawai'i began earlier this month with a week-long seminar series in conjunction with Cisco. The seminar covered Cisco's new Data Center and Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) initiatives, which provide the ability to optimize application delivery and operations, simplify infrastructure, and deliver end-to-end business processes. Breakout sessions were held on Cisco's new MDS line of Multi Layer Fibre Directors and were presented by SDG's senior storage engineer Gary Fort. The workshops were attended by more than 100 IT professionals from Hawai'i's largest business organizations.

"We are very proud to have worked with Cisco's Hawai'i operation to present on Cisco Data Center Architecture," said Rex Tumminia, Area Manager for SDG. "Our past success in Southern California with Cisco Data Center architectures has provided Secure Data Group market visibility and the opportunity to work more closely with Cisco in the Hawai'i market. We look forward to a deeper establishment in Hawai'i and servicing the needs of the Islands' businesses."

According to a March 2006 report by The Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, D.C., Hawai'i now has 615,000 jobs, up 20,900 from the same time last year. It is shaping up to be the first year of employment above 600,000 in Hawai'i.

To meet an expanding client base in Southern California, SDG has moved into a new, larger facility in Irvine. In addition to more space for the SDG team, the new offices will accommodate client counseling and training sessions on SDG's three core practice areas: data management, information security and data recovery. SDG also specializes in Wide Area Application Services DR/BCP Health checks and File/Storage Assessments.

SDG combines a vendor-neutral approach and years of IT experience to combine business strategies with IT needs. By knowing what keeps CEOs and CIOs awake at night and what will integrate into the client's existing IT infrastructure, SDG provides effective technology solutions for their clients. SDG's new headquarters are located at 6 Morgan, Ste. 116, Irvine, CA 92618. Phone is (949) 206-0017.
